Jo is our founder.
Jo is our founder. A survivor herself – an expert by experience. On her journey to recovery and healing, Jo recognised very early on how important it was for her to use her pain to make a difference in the lives of other survivors.
Jo is committed to raising awareness about the importance of addressing the impact sexual abuse has on survivors’ lives and is dedicated to providing support to survivors.
Jo is a living example of the power of resilience and the capacity to rebuild one’s life after trauma.

Karen
Karen is a volunteer and trustee.
She is also our treasurer. She is a trainee counsellor (hoping to be fully qualified by 2025.)
Karen has been studying childhood trauma resulting from sexual abuse for the past 5 years. She regularly attends seminars and training sessions and keeps up to date with the latest trauma treatments. Most importantly she is passionate about making a difference to the lives of adults carrying the scars of their traumatic and painful childhoods.
She believes in the hope that healing and recovery is possible.

Mark
Mark is the Chair of Trustees.
He has a wealth of leadership and management experience in processes and policies in both NGO’s and multi-national businesses. He is passionate about ensuring we provide quality services with all the necessary safeguards in place.
Mark’s work has given him wide cross-cultural experience in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
A father of 5 and grandfather of 7 children reflects family life and well-being at the heart of his values.

Emily
Emily is a Trustee.
Emily Victoria is a businesswoman who also works in the media and television. Crucially, Emily has lived experience as a survivor of child sexual, emotional and physical abuse from both her father and another man. Emily has been through the grips of complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, the complicated journey of the justice system in the United Kingdom and is turning those experiences into movement for change. Emily has been to Number 10 Downing Street and The Ministry of Justice to advise on positive change. Emily is committed as a Trustee to If Only, to working with everyone at If Only to help survivors, as one herself.

Emily
Emily is a Trustee & our Secretary.
Emily is a survivor of child sexual abuse. She is a mum to two young boys and currently works part-time as an admin assistant. At University of Portsmouth Emily read psychology with child and youth studies and gained a degree. She volunteered extensively for the NSPCC where she was involved in speaking at conferences, attending events and meetings regarding policies and procedures around sexual abuse. Emily gave advice as a young person. From the age of 18 Emily became an ambassador for the NSPCC, she carried out this role for 3 years.

Lorna

Jo
Jo has a background working in health and social care, including working in NHS North East London. She is a survivor and has an interest in helping organisations become more trauma informed and improve the support they offer to staff who have experienced childhood trauma. This comes from a lifetime of being impacted by mental illness and complex post traumatic stress disorder.
