Not Normal: The uncensored account of an extraordinary true life story by Paul Conolly

A heartwrenching true story of a boy abandoned by his mother and growing up in a children’s home. Terrorised by the evil paedophiles who are running the home, Paul describes the shocking things that happen to the children who are supposed to be in our care system, how it has affected his life and the lives of the other children in the home. The book highlights the dangers of allowing people to have control over the lives of vulnerable children, without ensuring that they are caring and kind. At the same time it is inspiring and humbling to read about how Paul was able to overcome so much of his past and to make a worthwhile life for himself. Sadly, Paul was the exception as most of the other children were not able to escape from the pain of their abusive childhoods.
